Dear guest,
Despite Auschwitz is the part of my Poland tripthat I most wanted to write about; the feelings that the Auschwitz visit leave are really hard to carry. Writing the Turkish article had already made me live those moments again and I can’t find the strength to write it for the second time.
Please excuse me this time for not going in detail, but I am sure the photos will help you to understand what those people had to go through.
With all my heart, I hope such a tragedy will never happen again.
How to go to Auschwitz?
You can reach Auschwitz from Krakow. There are many tour companies in the city center for a day tour; but it is also easy to reach by bus, train or your personal car. The town it is located in is Oswiecim, the journey takes around an hour.
Ticket Reservation
The tickets for a tour can be reserved on the official web site. I highly recommend a guided tour but f you cannot fint an available ticket for your day of visit, you can try going early in the morning and have a self-guided tour.
